Anchor of My Soul!
As weeks have progressed, my thoughts are on how life can change from moment to moment. From routines, employment, activities, family, and worship gatherings, there has been no constant among them. Our daily routines of life have been altered, and we scramble to have some familiar patterns re-established. I have not even been able to anchor my life to the fact that spring is finally here. It is sunny, warm, and enjoyable one day; then it is cold, snowy, and miserable the next. I am an adventurous person, but I also like a stable force that I can grab onto. There has been a lack of that in this world. Yet, upon reflection, I have had a very stable force in my life for a long time. In fact, it has been there since Jesus saved my soul. It has been there each and every day, yet I did not always see it. The “It” of consistency is really the Lord Himself. He has been there through all my ups and downs. He has been there through all the hurts and pains. He has been there through all the changes in my life. He is there right now! My focus will be upon, “The Anchor Of My Soul”, Jesus Christ. In this chaotic world, we Christians have the most stable ground to stand on. Our God does not change nor does His love change for you. Malachi 3:6, “For I am the Lord, I change not...” Jeremiah 31:3, “...I have loved you with an everlasting love...” My life may be spinning, but my soul is anchored to Jesus! Saints of God, may we always remember this fact. He truly brings a peaceable stillness to our lives.
